Our Story

The name Drokpo, meaning “friend” in Tibetan, reflects our core values of compassion, solidarity, and commitment to supporting all individuals with dignity and care.

What We Do

Our Commitment

Drokpo strengthens the resilience of Tibetan and Himalayan communities in Nepal through grassroots action. We improve livelihoods, promote women’s health, and support mental well-being with culturally grounded programs.

We believe in the power of community to create lasting change. With your support, we can continue building a sustainable and equitable future for the Himalayas.

Drokpo’s programs are funded through individual donations and grants, with 99 percent of all resources directly supporting community initiatives. Join us in empowering Himalayan communities to thrive with dignity and opportunity.

As His Holiness the Dalai Lama reminds us, “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito.”
