Street Dog Care

Street Dog Care

Program Overview

Alongside our humanitarian work, Drokpo Nepal is dedicated to caring for street dogs by providing daily meals. Since 2015, Drokpo has been on a mission to care for street dogs.

We believe compassion for animals strengthens compassionate communities.

Program Description

What started as a small group of compassionate youth feeding a few neglected dogs has grown into a daily commitment, thanks to the generosity of local donors who believe every life deserves love and nourishment. As the number of street dogs increased, the American Himalayan Foundation joined as a supporting partner, helping us provide consistent care.

Today, our dedicated team of dog lovers feeds 150 street dogs daily across Boudha, Jorpati, Jagdol, and nearby garbage collection areas. Every day, we prepare fresh meals of rice and chicken liver, sometimes supplemented with additional chicken parts for added nutrition. Beyond feeding, we provide medical care, including vaccinations, injury treatment, and sterilization.

With the continued support of our community and partners, Drokpo Nepal nurtures and protects abandoned and homeless dogs, offering them daily care, nutrition, and compassion.
